Lucille T. "Trudy" Cyr passed to spirit at the age of 90 on Sunday, May 1, 2016 surrounded by her seven children at their family summer home on Long Lake in Madawaska, ME. Trudy lived a full life and truly lived her faith in her thoughts, words and actions. Born in upper Frenchville, the daughter of Honore and Marie Trudelle, she learned the value of hard work on the farm and graduated from the Fort Kent Normal School, becoming a teacher. She married Louis A. "Peewee" Cyr, and they created seven children to whom she taught her values of hard work, tolerance, patience, positiveness, knowledge and faith. Teacher, Mother, nurturer, she always had a good word to say, never asking for anything, a wellspring of love and good will. She was predeceased by her husband, and will be greatly missed by her children, Eileen, Paul, Greg, Mike, Jan, Jean, and Jeff, their spouses, and her 10 grandchildren. In her death, surrounded by all her children, Trudy demonstrated how she lived her life: with grace, dignity, style,, patience and a sense of humility that illustrated her fierce devotion to her faith. A mass of Christian burial will be held 10am on Monday, May 9, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Family and friends may offer their condolences from 9am until 9:45am at the church before the service. Interment will be at the Parish cemetery immediately following the service. All are invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy may be mailed to Trudy's eldest daughter Eileen Levasseur at 248 Shaw Road, Dover Foxcroft, ME 04426 where they will be distributed to the family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Trudy's named to St Thomas Aquinas Church, 309 St. Thomas St., Madawaska, ME 04756. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
