Ashland--- Lydia L. O'Clair, 85, passed away peacefully during the early hours of Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Aroostook House of Comfort, Presque Isle. She was born April 18, 1935 in Ashland, a daughter of the late J. Addison and Ruth (Orcutt) Flint.

Lydia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and she was a long-time parishioner of Union Congregation Church, Ashland. A glorious cook, anyone visiting her home would be fed obnoxious amounts of food and given a plate and snacks as they left. She was also an avid crafter and loved to share her knitting, crochet and embroidery with her family and donate to the church bazaars. Lydia was always fond of her family and especially cherished her grandchildren's visits or attending their activities and events.

She is survived by: five children, Barbara Gillis and her husband Wendell of Garfield Plt, Arnold O'Clair and his wife Stacey, Steven O'Clair and his wife Tammy, Nora Clark and her husband Mark, and Andy O'Clair, all of Ashland; two sisters, Joan Eastman of Florida and Ada "Babe" O'Clair of Ashland; six grandchildren, Courtney, Brandon, Jeremy, Fay, Ashley & Dustin; nine great grandchildren, Cayleigh, Averie, Deacon, Faith, Joey, Karter, Landyn, Waylon & Brycen; a special friend, Kay O'Clair; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Lydia was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 61 years, J. Norman O'Clair in 2016, an infant son, J. Norman O'Clair Jr., and two sisters, Christine "Tic" O'Clair and toddler Ellen Flint.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of Lydia's family. Spring interment will be in Ashland Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 114 Exchange St./PO Box 39, Ashland.
