Grand Isle & St. Hilaire--Lynn (Gendreau) Dumont, 62, passed away on October 16, 2018.  She was born on March 8, 1956 in St. David, Maine to Ernie and Rina (Fongemie) Gendreau. Lynn was an extraordinary woman.  Among her many talents, she was foremost a wonderful musician and singer.  She brought joy to all she touched.  Lynn was an excellent cook who enjoyed entertaining large crowds.  She married the love of her life at the tender age of 16.  They were married for 43 years.  She was heartbroken upon his passing.  Lynn was very family oriented, calling family several times daily.  Her illness and untimely passing was brought on by a broken heart. Lynn is survived by her mother, Rina Gendreau of St. David, and her 3 remaining siblings, Allen Gendreau of Madawaska, Darel Gendreau of Madawaska, her only sister Karen Gendreau of St. David, nephew Jamie Gendreau of St. David, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved pets. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Lynn is predeceased by her husband Gerard Dumont of St. Hilaire, New Brunswick, her father Ernie Gendreau, and her brother Daniel Gendreau. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the St. David Church in St. David.  Family and Friends may offer their condolences on Sunday, October 21 from 6-8pm at Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska.  There will be no visiting hours on Monday before the service.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska .
