IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mae (Dube)
Soucy
January 15, 1945 – September 9, 2025
Caribou & Fort Kent--- Mae (Dube) Soucy, 80, dies September 9, 2025, after suffering a major stroke. She was born January 15, 1945, in Fort Kent, a daughter of the late Donald and Bertha (Desjardins) Dube.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Norman "Jerry" Soucy, and a nephew, Jason Dube.
She is survived by her life partner of 42 years, Roger Roy of Caribou; a brother, Jim Dube and his wife Carol of Punta Gorda, FL; a niece Kristen (Dube) Traknis and her husband Brandon of New Gloucester, and their twin daughters, Rhegan & Adysson; a niece, Makayla Dube of Fort Kent; several cousins and many friends spread near and far.
Mae retired from federal civil service in 2014 after 39 years at the former Loring Air Force Base. She also taught as an adjunct instructor for Husson University in both their undergraduate and graduate programs in Aroostook County. She lived in Caribou for 47 years but always considered Fort Kent her home.
Mae has gone home to the Lord and reunited with her family, she was a pleasant, mild-mannered professional woman who had the faith of a child. She quietly followed Jesus' teaching; she loved God and treated everyone with love and respect. Life was simple; respect everyone and cherish the good people you meet in the world. If people show that they are not nice, just avoid them, do not argue with them, cherish the Lord and be thankful for the good people in your life. She enjoyed working in her flowers and dining out with friends.
If you wish to honor Mae's memory, quietly help some unfortunate person as she would have.
