Madawaska and Poland---Marcia Dubois-Hardin, beloved wife of Howard Hardin, passed away peacefully at her home in Poland, Maine on May 25, 2026. Marcia and Howard shared 35 years together, 28 of them in marriage, a bond defined by devotion and tenderness. She was preceded in death by beloved family members who remain forever in memory, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will be felt for generations to come. Born to the late Alvy and Rena Mae Dubois, Marcia was raised with love and shaped by a family that left a lasting mark on her heart and spirit. She is survived by her devoted husband Howard; her son, Jesse Bell of Wiscasset, Maine; her cherished granddaughter, Kinsley Bell; her nephew, Todd Dubois of Tampa, FL; her brother, Phillip and his wife Michelle; and her faithful companion, Millie, her service dog. Marcia graduated from Madawaska High School in 1975 and went on to further her education at the University of Maine in Machias, where she studied for two years. Her time there deepened a passion for the medical field that would define much of her life’s work. She devoted herself to caring for the elderly and built a fulfilling career in the field, continuing in that role for as long as her health allowed. Her dedication to others was not simply a profession — it reflected in who she was. She was a unique and irreplaceable soul who touched everyone she met with her kindness, generosity, and love — and she lived it fully, whether she was on a dance floor, lost in a song, or simply filling a room with that unforgettable laugh. May she now spread her wings and fly free, leaving behind the pain that weighed upon her body, carried forward only in the love she so freely gave. A graveside service will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Cemtery.
