Fort Kent--- Marie M. Bouchard, 86, died at a Fort Kent hospital on August 11, 2025, following a brief illness, with her daughter and son-in-law at her side. She was born May 2, 1939 in Fort Kent, a daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Raymond) Theriault.

As a young wife and mother, Marie relocated to southern Maine and eventually to New York, where she was a longtime worker for Nabisco, Beacon, NY, as a forklift operator and foreman. Following her retirement, she returned to her beloved hometown of Fort Kent. Marie loved to keep her hands busy with puzzles and word searches, or aggravating her daughter and son-in-law. There was always county music playing in the background while she made her various phone calls throughout the day.

She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Gervais and her husband Gary of Fort Kent; one grandson, Scott Bouchard of Fort Kent; six siblings, Gilman (Terry) Theriault, Madeline Bouchard, both of Connecticut, Melvin (Gen) Theriault, Diane Glasscock, all of Fort Kent, J. Bill (Jean) Theriault of Sinclair, and Sylvia Caron of St. John; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband, Roland Bouchard in 1985, siblings, Bernadette Collins, Lorenda Mason, Rosaire Theriault, Joel Theriault, Norman Theriault, Rita Charette, Lorelda Boucher, and an infant sister.

A graveside service will be celebrated at 12 noon on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at St. Louis Cemetery, Fort Kent. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday evening 6-8:00 PM and Thursday morning 10:30-11:30 AM at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent.
