Madawaska—Marie May Mazerolle, 94, passed away on September 1, 2018, at a Madawaska Health Care Facility. She was born in St. Jacques, New Brunswick on May 21, 1924, a daughter of the late Ronald and Emma (Lizotte) Charest. Marie married Augustin Mazerolle in 1944 and from that union came 5 children. She loved to read, laugh, cook, dance and knit. We never ran out of mittens and socks, and she would often give some to the needy children to keep their hands and feet warm. She was dedicated to her family and friends and was always there to help anyone in need. A precious gift from God, she handed down to us who she was: loving, caring, courageous, and forgiving. She taught us to be respectful of ourselves as well as others. She is survived by 3 daughters, Francoise Mazerolle, Alice Labbé and Laurette Albert; one son, Ronald Mazerolle; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and she loved them all. She is predeceased by her husband, Augustin Mazerolle; one daughter, Augusta Maltais. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and Family may greet the family at the church from 9-9:45am before the service on Wednesday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home, Madawaska.
