Madawaska---Marie Marthe Michaud, 75, passed away at her residence in Madawaska on April 12, 2015. She was born in Madawaska on January 19, 1940, the eldest child of the late Lawrence and Aline (Clavette) Michaud. Although Marie never married and had children of her own, she devoted her entire life to taking care of other people. She often considered all of her nieces and nephews her own children. She was especially fond of her feline friends, Kitty, Fluffy, and Oscar. Many of you may not know her, but she was often seen riding through Madawaska on her red tricycle, which she was very proud of. She is survived by two sisters, Joan Daigle and her husband Al of CT, Jeannine Chasse and her husband Bob of Connor Township; seven brothers, Clifford Michaud and his wife Marie of Sabattus, Clarence Michaud of Machias, Lewis Michaud and his wife Donna of Machiasport, Milford Michaud of Madawaska, Rober01t Michaud and his wife Francine, Raymond Michaud and his wife Marie- Paul, and David Michaud and his wife Rella all of St. David; several nieces and nephews; her special friends, Dr. James Harrigan and his wife Shirley of Madawaska, with whom she worked over 40 years for; and many other friends in the community. She was predeceased by two brothers, Janel and Gilman Michaud. A Funeral Service will be held 4pm on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Lajoie Funeral Home. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4pm on Friday before the service.
