Madawaska---Marie L. Raymond, 70, passed away on December 3, 2013 at her residence in Madawaska, surrounded by her family. She was born in St. David on May 14, 1943, daughter of the late Ernest and Elsie (Cyr) Lagasse. Marie was an excellent cook. She enjoyed flower gardening and bowling. She was well known in the area as a landlord. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by many. She is survived by her beloved husband of nineteen years, Gallant Raymond of Madawaska; three sons, Steven J. Ringuette, DC and his wife Brenda of Biddeford, Daniel J. Ringuette, DC and his wife Denise of Madawaska; Paul Ringuette and his wife Natalie of Frenchville; her step-daughter, Karen A. Ryer and her husband James III, of Cape Elizabeth; six grandchildren, Andrew, Luke, Raya, Madison Ringuette, Laura and Ashley Ryer; four brothers, Norman Lagasse of St. David, Richard Lagasse , Camille Lagasse and his wife Jeannine, Philip Lagasse and his wife Alice all of Madawaska; four sisters, Jeannine Bragdon and her husband Gary of Caribou, Bernadette Gendreau and her husband Richard of Madawaska, Marie Jeanne Ouellette of Madawaska, Joan Caron of St. Joseph, New Brunswick; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Leo Lagasse and Joel Lagasse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-9pm on Friday and from 9am until 9:45am on Saturday before the service. Contributions in Marie's memory may be made to the Edgar J.
