Madawaska and Fort Kent---It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Marie Reine (Martin) St Jean, of Fort Kent Maine, and formerly of Bangor Maine, and Madawaska Maine, wife of the late Lawrence St Jean, on Friday, November 5'th. at Crosswinds Residential Care, Fort Kent Maine, at the age of 86. Born in St Basile NB, on August 19th, 1924, Reine was the daughter of the late Adolph Martin and Laura Theriault. She was a homemaker, entrepreneur and was a proud member of the VFW auxiliary and a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by one brother, Rudolf Martin of St Basile and one sister, Martine Ericson of California; one son, Donald St Jean spouse (Barbara), of Orange County, California; four daughters, Madeleine St Jean-Ronan spouse (Patrick), of Miramichi NB, Evelyn St Jean, of Atlanta Georgia, Theresa Madore spouse (Robert), of Glenburn Maine, and Lorraine Thibodeau spouse (Robert), of Soldier Pond Maine; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence St Jean of Bangor Maine, and formerly of Fort Kent Maine, and Madawaska Maine, and one son, David St Jean; twelve sisters and brothers. The family extends sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff of Crosswinds Residential Facility for their loving care of Mom over these past two years. At her request, there will be no viewing. A Funeral Service will be held at St David Church on November 10th , at 10:30am. The family will receive friends and family following the funeral service.
