IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marjolaine
Fournier
October 4, 1955 – November 13, 2024
Wallagrass--- Marjolaine Marie Fournier, aged 69, of Wallagrass, ME, formerly of Plainville, CT, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024 with her husband by her side. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, on October 4, 1955, Marje, as she was lovingly known, was a beacon of strength and love, cherished by all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Marje maintained a profound connection with her family, fostering relationships that bridged any physical distance. Having been the only sibling to move to the US, Marje and her family made many trips to Canada over the years to visit family. When Marje and Perry owned their home in Plainville, CT, they happily hosted every family holiday, where Marje would lovingly but sternly kick everybody out of her kitchen! Having moved up to Wallagrass over fifteen years ago, daily conversations with her daughters were a favorite part of her day.
Over the many years she worked, Marje had a number of careers, but perhaps the one she was most proud of was running her own cleaning business. When Marje went to a client's home to clean, she did more than just clean. She interacted with the families she worked for, and in doing so became like family to many.
Marje enjoyed many hobbies that brought great joy not only to her but also to those around her. Over the years, she and Perry did many jigsaw puzzles together. She was renowned for crocheting the finest dish cloths and gifting them to friends and family. She also spent time sewing blankets, which she lovingly gifted to her grandchildren during their visits. An avid fan of soap operas and game shows, Marje shared this passion with Perry, turning it into a shared hobby that brought them closer. The laughter and joy she shared with her husband were the highlights of her days. Marje's legacy of positivity, love, strength, and kindness will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Marje is survived by her devoted husband, Perry Fournier; daughters, Dana Dziob and Lisa Bascom-Dziob; son-in-law, Richard Bascom; son, Alan Dziob. Marje was also blessed to be the memere of eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Marje was the oldest of eleven siblings. She is survived by Danielle, Bernice, Hermel, Lynne, Monique, Lisa, Louise, and Ricky. She was predeceased by her sisters Nancy and Violette.
A spring/summer memorial picnic in Plainville, CT will be planned. To share condolences online, please visit www.LajoieFuneralHome.com
