Fort Kent---Mark Louis Paradis, 68, passed away on August 26, 2026, at a Presque-Isle health care facility. He was born in Fort Kent on September 2, 1957, son of the late Maurice L. and Edwina (Pelletier) Paradis. During his high school years, Mark stood out as an outstanding athlete. He excelled in track and was a proud member of the ski team. He also had a remarkable talent for pole bending, where he set a record that reflected both his skill and competitive spirit. Beyond athletics, Mark was an artist extraordinaire and had a true eye for detail.  After graduating from high school, Mark answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, Mark put his skills and determination to work in construction and carpentry. He is survived by one son, Louis Paradis of Portland; his siblings, Linda (Paradis) Brough, Judy (Paradis) Doustou, Tom Paradis, Donald Paradis, Denis Paradis, Keith Paradis, Tammy (Paradis) Pelletier, Shawn Michaud; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Edwina; one sister, Paula (Paradis) Stanley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent.  In keeping with Mark's wishes, there will be no visiting hours or receiving line.  Interment will take place immediately following the Mass in the Parish cemetery.
