Fort Kent--- Marquerite Verna (Michaud) Lozier, 92, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2022, with her family by her side, at Crosswinds assisted living. She was born on April 12, 1929, daughter of the late Thomas and Marie (Fongemie) Michaud. Verna was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, and a volunteer for the good shepard thrift shop. For about 30 years she took care of her husband before his passing in 2005. Her favorite pass times were knitting blankets, quilting, playing cards, and making puzzles. Verna was survived by three daughters, Phyllis Morin and her husband, Jean, of Fort Kent, Marie Stubbs and her husband, Wesley, of Bucksport and Joyce Pelletier and her husband, Henry, of St. Francois, NB; five sons, Philip and his wife, Pearl, of Winterville, Thomas of Fort Kent, Patrick of Fort Kent, Allen of Denver, CO, Steve and his companion Danna of Fort Kent; one sister, Emelda Dubois of Fort Kent; one sister in-law, Bernice Michaud of Connecticut; nine grandchildren, Lisa Jandreau, Marc Morin, Nicholas Lozier, Jason Stubbs, Jodi Clements, Adam Lozier, Jill Caron, and Curtis and Cody Lozier; eighteen great-grandchildren, Jessica and Kole Walker, Halee Jandreau, Jocelyn and Sylvie Morin , Lauren and Lanie Stubbs, Toby and Allie Caron, Lillianna and Liam and Lucas Lozier, Emma and Amelia Clement, Carter Lozier, Aunah and Ryder and Hunter Lozier; along with many nieces and nephews. Verna was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Louis "Babe" Lozier; eight sisters; three brothers. The family would like to extend a sincere 'thank you' to Crosswinds residential care facility in Fort Kent, for taking extraordinary care of Verna in her time of need. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022, 10am, at St. Louis church.
