Madawaska---Mary Ann Collin, 76, died peacefully on September 6,2017 at Fort Kent health care facility with her niece by her side. She was born on November 27,1940, the daughter of the late Edmund and Leona (Soucy) Collin.
A lifelong resident of Madawaska, her adulthood was spent employed in the caring of the elderly and infirmed. She enjoyed listening to the music of Kitty Wells and Patsy Cline, playing cards, going for car rides and watching the Andy Griffith Show & Matlock. She will be remembered fondly for her love of family, ALL holidays, and everything that went along with them.
She is survived by her brothers; James (Gloria) of Madawaska, Richard (Lucille) of Connecticut, Emile of Florida, Edward (Chris) of Wayne, sisters; Patricia Ouellette of Augusta, Cecile Basque (Weldon) of New Brunswick, Theresa Dumais (Robert) of Frenchville, Fern Rioux (Michael) of Medway and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brother William.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Those who wish, may offer their condolences at the church from 9am until 9:45am before the service on Thursday. Burial will take place immediately after the funeral service in the Parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
