Madawaska---Maurice Clavette, 83, passed away on July 30, 2024, at a Madawaska health care facility.  He was born in Madawaska on July 8, 1941, son of the late Denis and Matilda (Doucette) Clavette.  In his younger years, he worked various jobs, with his last employment being with Joe LaChance.  He was a master of tinkering, enjoying taking things apart and putting them back together.  He is survived by five siblings, Gil Clavette and his wife Sandi of Connecticut, Vi Bouchard of Frenchville, Pit Clavette and his wife Jackie of Tennessee, Neil Clavette and his wife Donna of Madawaska, Murial Barry of Florida; many nieces and nephews.  A Funeral Service will be held at Lajoie Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 10am.  Relatives and friends may offer their condolences at the funeral from 8:30am until 9:45am on Wednesday before the service.  Interment will be held at the St. Thomas Cemetery immediately following the service on Wednesday.  Special thanks to the staff of Country Village and High View Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
