Obituary

Madawaska---Maurice Cyr, 70, passed away April 1, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Madawaska.  He was born in Frenchville on December 22, 1948, son of the late Reginald and Lucille (Roussel) Cyr.  He was a member of the American Legion, post 147 of Madawaska.  He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather who truly loved spending time with his beloved family.  He was a jack-of-all trades and was always willing to give a helping hand to those in need.  Maurice is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Lise (Couturier) Cyr of Madawaska; two daughters, Kim Levesque and her husband Scott of St. David, Sharon Fournier and her husband Traverse of Yarmouth; five grandchildren, Stanley, Chloe, Soleil, Quinn, Drew; five siblings, Claudette Daigle and her husband Camille of Turner, Louis Cyr of Madawaska, Noella Couturier and her husband Hermel of Edmundston, Jeannine Bonenfant of Madawaska, Pauline Ouellette and her husband Gerald Gibson of Edmundston; many nieces and nephews.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, April 5, 2019 at the St. David Church.  Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9am until 9:45am on Friday before the Mass.
