Madawaska---Maurice Dumond, 73, passed away on March 11, 2014 at a living facility in Madawaska. He was born in Frenchville on February 25, 1941 to the late Leo and Lily Ouellette Dumond. Maurice resided at Ridgewood Estates for a good part of his life. He was predeceased by three brothers, Armand, George and David. He leaves behind a sister Lucy and husband Raymond Cyr; a sister-in-law, Bernadette Dumond and an Aunt Jeanne Ouellette Cyr. He leaves behind two nephews Brian and Roy, and six nieces Doreen, Lori, Deborah, Carla, Pamela and Julie; six great-nephews, nine great-nieces and numerous cousins. He also leaves behind his roommate and best friend, Donat Picard and all the residents at Ridgewood. Maurice was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Council #0366 of Madawaska. He enjoyed being with people, helping out the best he could, but being a sales person was his strength. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the St. Thomas Church. There will be no visiting hours. Spring interment will be held in the St. Luce Cemetery.
