Wallagrass---Maxine Bossie passed away March 18, 2025, at NMMC, after a strong battle with cancer.  She was born in Fort Kent, ME, on February 11, 1953, to parents Leonard Bossie and Mildred (Michaud) Bossie.  If anyone knew Maxine, they knew she was quite a spit fire.  Maxine had a huge love for her family pets and wildlife that graced her yard.  She had an even bigger love for family.  Maxine was always so proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Maxine spent most of her adult life in Miami, FL before returning to her roots.  She spent this last year on the banks of Soldier Pond, "In God's Country".  Maxine leaves behind her companion of 16 years, Gary Belanger, a loving sister Joan (Bossie) Lindsly, and her Polar Bear Randy Bossie; children Katrina Darby, Kenneth Darby and wife Star Jean; grandchildren Bernie Darby and partner Dakota, Billy Darby and Marcus Darby; along with 5 beautiful great-grandchildren and lots of niece/nephews and great niece/nephews.  Maxine is now joined in heaven with her parents, brother Harold Bossie and wife Angela (Gagnon) Bossie, sister Rose (Bossie) Nadeau and husband Gerald Nadeau, along with a loved partner in crime Judy Campbell.  At her request, there will be no viewing or services at this time.  There will be a celebration of life with friends and family at a later date.
