Madawaska/St. Agatha---Maxine Linda Clavette, 69, passed away January 29, 2019 at a Fort Kent health care facility.  She was born in Madawaska on February 28, 1949, daughter of the late Albert and Cecile (Picard) Clavette.  She was a longtime resident of Madawaska and St. Agatha.  After graduating from Madawaska High School, she moved to Connecticut where she was employed by G. Fox for several years.  She was employed as a CNA by Highview Manor after moving back to Maine, where she loved caring for the residents.  Maxine enjoyed babysitting and had a special connection with children.  She also loved traveling and had a love for birds, especially her Kiwi and Suzie!  Maxine is survived by her five brothers and four sisters-in-law; Roger and Elaine, Jimmy and Diane, George and Sandra, Reno and Susan, and Peter Clavette; numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved very much.  She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Richard.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska.  Family and friends may call at the church from 9-9:45am before the service.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home, Madawaska.
