ASHLAND- Maxine (Dube) Cyr, 72, flew with the Angels to Heaven Oct. 23, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. She was born December 5, 1940. She grew up in Eagle Lake, a daughter of the late Willie and Stella (Gallant) Dube. She married Elmer Cyr November 16, 1957, in Eagle Lake. Maxine is survived by: three sons, Phil Cyr of Portage Lake, Bruce Cyr of Huntsville, AL and Wayne Cyr of Ashland; two daughters, Anne Cyr of Ashland, Joyce (Cyr) Espling and husband Ronnie of Ashland; three sisters, Laurine St. Germain of Eagle Lake, Bertha LaCombe of Avon, CT, Genevieve Parent of Unionville, CT; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by: her husband of 27 years, Elmer Cyr; one son, Thomas "Tomate" Cyr; three children whom died at birth; five sisters, Mae Dube, Eunice Ayotte, Louise Gorneault, Mildred Brown and Jeannette Ouellette; and three brothers, Willie Dube, Jr., Armand Dube, and Lawrence "Tootsie" Dube. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013 at St. Marks Catholic Church, Ashland. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM at Lajoie Funeral Home (formerly Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home) 114 Exchange St., Ashland. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
