Obituary

Michael I. Bouchard, age 59, of Fort Kent, Maine, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque-Isle.  Born on February 11, 1966, in Framingham, Massachusetts, Michael was the son of Nelson Bouchard and Florence Pelletier.

He is survived by his father, Nelson Bouchard; his brother, Daniel Bouchard (Eileen Bouchard); and his two sisters, Lisa Verner (James Verner) and Kelly Bilinski (Michael Bilinski).

Michael was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He leaves behind his wife, Marian (Theriault) Bouchard of 38 years, his three sons, Jason Bouchard and his girlfriend Desiree Mora, Adam Bouchard and his wife, Michelle, and their two children, Charlie and Eleanor, and Curtis Bouchard and his wife, Veronica Borja Bouchard.

Michael worked for 35 years at Twin Rivers, where he took great pride in his work and deeply valued the people he worked with. Known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and generosity, he was always willing to help others.  Golfing was Michael's true passion, but he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. A mason and concrete worker by trade, he was a hardworking man who found purpose in staying busy and lending a hand whenever it was needed.  Michael will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the St. Louis Church.  In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visiting hours.  Interment will be held in the Parish cemetery later in the spring.
