IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael
Clavette
March 13, 1969 – November 13, 2022
Van Buren--- Michael O. Clavette, 53, passed unexpectedly November 13, 2022. He was born in Canada on March 13, 1969, a son of O. "Bee" Clavette and Jacqueline (Brown) Labreck, and graduated from Van Buren High School, Class of 1987.
Mike last worked at Tulsa, Van Buren, as a fuel delivery and HAZMAT driver, for several years. Previously he worked for the Van Buren Town Garage for many years, and continued to assist the town with seasonal snowplowing. For over 33 years Mike was a dedicated volunteer for the Van Buren Fire Department, where he excelled at driving the tanker truck to hundreds of fire scenes throughout the years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. When he wasn't tromping around the woods, you could find Mike riding motorcycle, or tinkering in the garage on his latest projects. Mike loved his community of Van Buren, always offering anyone the shirt off his own back to help them out.
He is survived by four children, Sierra LaBobe of Caribou, Jerry Clavette and his wife Ariel of Presque Isle, Dustin Lausier and his girlfriend Kelsey Caron of Van Buren, and Ryan Lausier and his wife Kaitlyn of Limestone; his lifelong partner, Cindy Lausier of Van Buren; his father of St. Leonard, NB, Canada; his mother of Van Buren; nine grandchildren, Stephen, Shekinah, Kaiden, Hunter, Ryder, Laine, Emily, Kaston, and Kol; two siblings, Trish Baber and her husband Tim of Texas, and Ron Clavette and his wife Tammy of Caribou; several nieces and nephews, and his entire Van Buren Fire Department family and community.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Main St., Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family 8:30-9:45 AM Saturday morning at the church. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
