St. David---Michael Dufour, 56, passed away March 6, 2019 at a Frenchville health care facility, after a long illness with Alzheimer's.  He was born in Fort Kent on August 2, 1963, son of Gilman and Dorothy (Beaulieu) Dufour.  After graduating from Madawaska high school, he moved to Florida for nine years where he worked as a carpenter.  After moving back to Grand Isle, he worked on the family farm alongside his father.  He is survived by his parents, Gilman and Dorothy Dufour of St. David; one sister, Gisele Violette and her husband Adrian of Green River, NB; two brothers, Gilman Dufour, Jr. of St. David; Kevin Dufour of Grand Isle; two nieces and one nephew, Bert Violette and his wife Melanie, France Price, Melanie Violette.  A private graveside service will be held later in the spring at the St. David Cemtery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home, Madawaska.
