Fort Kent --- Michael P. Gagnon, 70, passed away on September 11,
2018
at a Presque Isle health care facility. He was born in Eagle Lake on October 10, 1947, a son of the late Elbridge and Sylvia (Chasse) Gagnon. Michael was an amazing father who loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He proudly served in the United States Navy before spending his Career as a Hearing Officer for DHHS, and as a part-time police officer for the Town of Fort Kent. He spent countless hours helping others as being a member of AA and can be credited to helping many people turn their lives around. He was an avid
outdoors man
who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was also a New England sports fan, especially the Red Sox and the Celtics. He was never found too far from his dog Eddie who shared a special bond with him. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Gardner) Gagnon, of 43 years; three children, Jennifer Desjardins and her husband Kelby of Fort Kent, John Gagnon of Bangor, and Jessica Jalbert and her husband Jesse of Cross Lake; three grandchildren, Carissa Michaud, Charlee and Tanner Jalbert; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by four siblings, Jeanine Pelletier, Patricia Picard, Sally Gagnon, and Elbridge Gagnon Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at
