Caribou & Van Buren --- Michael N. Lapointe, 54, passed away unexpectedly January 21, 2020, as the result of an injury. He was born July 9, 1965 in Van Buren, a son of the late Elmer Lapointe and the late Denise Lapointe-St. Germaine.

He is survived by four siblings and half-siblings, Diane of Quebec, Canada, Lisa of Cyr Plt., Dean of Van Buren, and David of Arizona; his godparents, Marlene and Ray of Van Buren; his best friend, Peggy of Caribou; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant daughter.

At Mike's request, funeral services were held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
