Fort Kent --- Michael Morneault Sr., 66, passed away on December 08, 2017 at a Scarborough health care facility. He was born in Eagle Lake on April 17, 1951, a son of late Ronaldo and Rita (Albert) Morneault. Michael was the founder of the band "High Fidelity" in which he shared many fond memories with his family and his "bebe". He was a 20-year veteran of the Maine Army National Guard and was a loving father, grandfather and husband. Michael never stopped and loved working with his hands. He spent many hours renovating his home on his days off, when he wasn't working at UMFK. Michael is survived by his loving wife Diane of Fort Kent; one son, Michael Jr. and his wife Nicole of Saco; one daughter, Michelle of Madawaska; one grandson, Avery Michael; one granddaughter, Sophia Michelle; two brothers, Guy and his wife Angela of Fort Kent and Dana and his wife Pamela of Tennessee; two sisters, Joyce Viel and her husband Leonard of St. Francois, N.B, and Jeanne Morneault of Arlington, Tennessee; one brother-in law- Michael Ouellette and his wife Sharon of Sicklerville, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent. Family and friends may call from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home and from 9-11 AM on Thursday before the service.
