Mike Hafford

March 25, 1964 — April 22, 2026

Allagash, ME

Mike Hafford, age 62, of Allagash, ME, passed away on April 22, 2026.

Mike leaves behind his wife, Candy Hafford; his daughter Abagayle Paisley Hafford; his sons, Lucas Hafford, Cody Hafford, and Brandon O’Leary; his stepdaughter, Jayd Begin; and his brother Toby Hafford.

After graduating from Allagash Consolidated High School, Mike served in the Army Guards, where he developed a deep sense of duty and resilience. Upon returning home after his service, he worked as a logger in both Maine and New Hampshire. He was also an accomplished carpenter, known for his skills and valued contributions to the community. A true jack of all trades, Mike approached every project with pride.

He found solace outdoors, where the noise of everyday life faded away and he could simply be himself. Mike enjoyed horseshoes, fishing, hunting, camping and canoeing – water was his place of peace and happiness.

Above everything, Mike’s greatest passion was his family. His love was boundless and unwavering. He was fiercely loyal, committed and dedicated to those he cared about. Despite life’s challenges, nothing diminished his devotion to his loved ones.

Mike endured more than most realized, and although he fought bravely, his struggles eventually became too much. His loss is deeply felt, reminding us of the need for compassion, understanding and support for those who are hurting. Our memories of Mike will resonate along the rivers and within our hearts.

Mike is predeceased by his parents Leverette and Barbara Hafford.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the fall of 2026. The family requests that donations be made to an organization supporting mental health and addiction recovery in Mike’s memory.
