Mona Davis

Van Buren / Hamlin--- Mona Davis, 81, peacefully passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at a Caribou hospital, following a short period of declining health. She was born April 11, 1945, a daughter of the late Elie and Germaine (Levasseur) Roy and was the loving wife of the late Raymond E. Davis.

Mona was employed by the US government for many years. She was a member of the Columbiettes and was a parishioner of St. Bruno-St. Remi Church, Van Buren. Mona’s faith was at the center of her life and always kept the Lord close to her heart ever since she was a little girl.

She is survived by four siblings, Lucille Castonguay, Carl Roy, both of Van Buren, Joyce Roy of Grand Isle, and Kenneth Roy of Washburn; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Mona was predeceased by her husband in 2008, and three siblings, Yvette Dube, Grace Roy, and Linda McGlinn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, May 25, 2026, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Church, Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Monday morning 9-9:45 AM at the church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
