Obituary

Wallagrass/Fort Kent—Mona (Saucier) Pinette, 83, passed away peacefully at her apartment in Fort Kent with her family by her side. She was born on August 30, 1937, daughter of the late Alfred and Emma (Theriault) Saucier. Mona will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and her husband, Ronald, had a strong work ethic and instilled that into their children and grandchildren. She had extremely high standards for herself and everything she did.  She was meticulous and immaculate.  No matter the task that needed to be done, Mona would be one of the first to offer to help.  She was known for her hospitality to all her family members.  Regardless of how long ago she saw you, she was so good to offer a meal or lodging. Mona was a blessing.  She truly was an amazing, beautiful, caring, dedicated, elegant, efficient, faithful, giving, graceful, inspirational, loving, kind, faith filled, gentle women with a heart of gold. She was strong in her faith and had been an active communicant of the St. Joseph church.   Early on she taught religion classes and was in charge of the Religious Ed program in Soldier Pond years ago.  She also was a lecturer and a Eucharistic minister.  Later, when her children were all "old enough", Mona helped set up Brooks Drug Store and was Assistant Manager.  Then in April of 1977 until May 28, 2004, Mona was a dedicated and loyal employee at Thibodeau's Insurance now United Insurance.  Mona wore many hats during her 27-year insurance career.   She started as receptionist, then worked as Customer Service Representative, Administrative Assistant and Claims Manager.  Imagine, everyone who knew Mona loved her.  She was a well-respected woman, loving wife, wonderful mother and grandparent, trusted friend, and professional colleague. She was genuine...a rare gem! She is survived by three children, Steve and his wife Debra Chaloux of Scarborough, Donna Guerette and her husband Stephen of Scarborough, Patty Michaud and her husband Keith of Fort Kent; seven grandchildren, Nicole Chaloux-Pinette and her husband Dan Murphy, Karissa Acciardo and her husband Stephen, Billy Michaud and his fiancé Brittany Theriault, Emma Chaloux-Pinette, Darren Guerette, Charles Michaud and his wife Camryn, Katherine Michaud; one great-granddaughter, Madilyn; along with another great-grandchild Baby Acciardo due in 2 weeks; last remaining sibling Alberie Saucier of Connecticut and sisters-in-law Simone Saucier of Connecticut and Marilyn Pinette of Fort Kent, and brothers-in-law John Pinette of Biddeford and Manzer Belanger of Frenchville along with many nieces and nephews.
