Fort Kent--- Nancy M. Daigle, 79, peacefully entered into Eternal Life on September 25, 2025, with her loving family at her side. She was born January 7, 1946, in Fort Kent, a daughter of Elie and Marie (Guerrette) Morin.
Nancy was a life member of the Columbiettes and past president, and was a dedicated parishioner of St. Louis Church. She was a caring teacher for Fort Kent and Sinclair schools for many years. She was instrumental in the opening of Miller's Clothing Department Store, serving as its first manager. She also was an insurance saleswoman for former L'Union St. Jean Baptiste. Nancy loved traveling and made many cross-country trips, sometimes riding motorcycle. Nancy had the most contagious laughter and never hesitated to share her joy with everybody. She loved socializing and her smile could brighten anyone's day.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, John Daigle of Fort Kent; two sons, Tim Daigle and his fiancée Adrienne Faggas of Bath, and Tom Daigle and his wife Dawn of Eagle Lake; four grandchildren, Trevor, Wade, Buddy, and Paige; two great granddaughters, Kally and Ainsley; five sisters-in-laws, Irma, Elliette, Ann, Gisele Morin and Sis Daigle; one brother-in-law, Gary Bailey and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Nancy was predeceased by seven brothers, Elie "June" Morin, Bert Morin, Leo Morin, Clifford "Bee" Morin, Melford Morin, Richard Morin, and Don Morin; one sister, Rena Bailey; sisters-in-laws Myrtle, Dean and Peggy, two brothers-in-law Jim Daigle and Jim Moore, two nephews, David and Matt; and one niece, Kelly.
The family would like to thank the staff at Northern Maine Medical Center, St. Joseph Memory Care and Crosswinds for the excellent care Nancy received during her stay at each facility. We cannot thank you all enough.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, September 29, 2025, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Relatives and friends may greet the family Sunday evening 6 -8:00 PM and Monday morning 8:00-9:30 AM at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
