Van Buren--- Nancy C. St. Pierre, 76, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at a Bangor Hospital. She was born March 27, 1941 in St. Leonard, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Albert and Alphena (Viel) Akerley.
Nancy was a self-employed dairy farmer for former Pleasantview Farms for over 30 years. She was a member of the Columbiettes, Daughters of Isabella, ACTS, and loved to volunteer with many church functions. She was an avid knitter and seamstress, sharing many of her crafts with her many friends and family. She also enjoyed visiting the Knights of Columbus for their BINGO nights.
She is survived by: two children, Patsy Hill and her husband Chance of Summerfield, FL and Troy St. Pierre and his wife Rita of Orlando, FL; five siblings, Jack, Edward, & Roger Akerley, Verna Ouellette and Rita Prentice; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Nancy is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, James St. Pierre, a son James Jr., a granddaughter Ashley, and two sisters, Patsy and Doreen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Burial will follow in St. Bruno Cemetery. www.LajoieFuneralHome.com
