Fort Kent--- Nicole D. Caron, 79, peacefully entered into Eternal Rest March 20, 2023, following a short illness. She was born January 9, 1944 in Riviere du Loop, QC, Canada, a daughter of the late Armand and Cecile (Theriault) Cyr.

Nicole was a devoted homemaker and loved to care for her husband and raise her children. When she wasn't wrangling her children, she was helping her husband around the family farm. Nicole was an avid knitter and crocheter, creating many blankets and socks throughout the years, and always donated her crafts. She cherished her grandchildren and loved their many visits to the family homestead.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Claude Caron of Fort Kent; five children, Wayne Caron of Fort Kent, Denise Saucier of Bangor, Andrew Caron and his wife Jill, Tony Caron, and Craig Caron and his wife Tina, all of Fort Kent; five siblings, Maurice, Raymond, Marcel and Martin Cyr, and Mona Gagnon; seven grandchildren, Alex, Amanda, Toby, Allie, Caleb, Emmie & Hailee; two great grandchildren, Carter and Natalie; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Nicole was predeceased by one brother, Theodore Cyr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, April 10, 2023, at St. Louis Catholic Church, E. Main St., Fort Kent. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent.
