Madawaska --- Norma (Daigle) Dufour, 85, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at a Madawaska healthcare facility, after a brief illness. She was born in Madawaska on July 21, 1934, the daughter of the late Louis & Eva (Tardif) Daigle. She was a member of the Thomas O. Cyr Unit# 147 American Legion Auxiliary. Norma is survived by her loving husband of 64 ½ years, Yvon Dufour; two daughters, Sonia Tardif and her husband Donald of Madawaska, Sandra Gagnon and her husband Roger of St. Basile, N.B.; three grandchildren, Rene Gagnon, Chantal Gagnon, (and her companion Serge Morin) and Kyle Tardif (and his fiancé Melana Marquis); her sister Thelma Nickerson of Florida; and her sister-in-law Lucienne Nelson of Madawaska. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and family may offer their condolences at the church from 9-9:45 until the time of the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska.
