Eagle Lake --- Norma (Albert) Laferriere, 88, passed away on October 19, 2019 at a Fort Kent Health Care Facility. She was born in Eagle Lake on January 8, 1931, daughter of the late Alvin and Anne (Madore) Albert. Norma was the Postmaster of the Eagle Lake Post Office until her retirement. She loved to sit on her sun porch and make puzzles. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing word finds. Her door was always open to family and friends, who enjoyed many delicious meals prepared by her.  She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by her five children, Ron and his wife Linda of Eagle Lake, Allen and his wife Patricia of Washburn, Jean and her husband Edwin Nightingale of Mapleton, Betty Pelletier and Barbara Laferriere of Eagle Lake; four brothers, Alvin, Fernand, Roland and Ronald; two sisters, Joan Soucie and Rita Martin; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Norman; brothers, Normand and Danny; sisters, Eva Rochester, Rella Damon and Fernande Moore. In keeping with Norma's wishes there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eagle Lake.
