Obituary

Madawaska--- Norman Rino Clavette, 72, peacefully passed away March 23, 2023, at a Fort Kent hospital, following a battle with leukemia. He was born December 27, 1950 in Edmundston, NB, Canada, a son of the late Albert and Cecile (Picard) Clavette.

Norman worked at Bob's Service Center and Butch Derosier's potato farm for many years. He was a proud member of the Madawaska Fire Department for over 40 years, and he cherished his many memories and adventures with his fire department brothers and sisters. Norm enjoyed hunting and riding around and loved hanging out with his late canine companions, Nikki & King.

He is survived by his brothers, Jimmy Clavette and his wife Diane of St. David, George Clavette and his wife Sandy of Connecticut, Roger Clavette and his wife Elaine of Oregon, and Rino Clavette and his wife Susan of Washington; and several nieces and nephews, especially Phil Clavette and Josh Epstein for their dedicated assistance with Norman's errands and appointments.

Besides his parents, Norman was predeceased by siblings Richard and Maxine Clavette.

Norman's family extends their deepest appreciation to the Northern Maine Medical Center Oncology Department for their professional and compassionate care during his several year battle with leukemia.

Funeral services will be announced and celebrated at a later date. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Madawaska.
