Manchester, CT & Eagle Lake, ME--- Norman "Roy" Roalf, 77, of Manchester, CT, beloved husband of the late Theresa Roalf, passed peacefully at home on Thursday, November 24th, 2022.
He leaves behind his daughter, Phyllis Roalf of Bristol, CT; his step-son, Buck Paradis of Manchester, CT; a brother, Roderick Roalf of Windsor, CT; and a special friend, Joella, of Manchester, CT. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves half-brothers Mike, Rudy, Guy, and Keith; half-sisters Debra, Rose, all from various parts of the US.
Besides his wife in 2019, Roy was predeceased by his father Norman Harrison Roalf, his mother Gladys Fournier-Michaud, and stepfather Bertrand Michaud. He was also predeceased by daughters Lora Roalf and Rhonda Roalf.
Roy was a Vietnam Veteran, and served as Commander of the American Legion, Post #176, in Eagle Lake, ME, where he dedicated many hours of his time serving his surrounding community prior to relocating to CT.
Roy was a builder most of his life and was very talented with woodworking. He could build anything! He enjoyed fishing and hunting above all, and always had a story or two to share with his many friends!
A graveside service with military honors will be celebrated at 12 noon on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Lombard Road, Caribou. Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743
