Eagle Lake --- Odette Berube, 83, died on August 10, 2018 at a Fort Kent health care facility. Odette was born on October 26, 1934 a son of the late Alfred and Sophie (Sirois) Berube. Odette was an avid outdoorsman. He spent his whole career working in the woods operating a cable skidder. Even when he wasn't working you could always find him back in the woods doing what he loved. Odette is survived by his loving wife Joan Berube of 59 years, two children, Mark Berube and his companion Diane Charette of Long Lake, Lisa Devoe and her husband Vaughn of Eagle Lake; three grandchildren, Cara Pinette and her husband Keith of Fort Kent, Brad Berube and his wife Brandy of Hamden, Kaitlynn Devoe of Eagle Lake; and five great-grandchildren. Odette is predeceased by his six siblings, Lester, Hampy, Ronald, Freda, Jean, and Claudette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the St. Mary's Church in Eagle Lake. Interment with military honors will be held in the Parish cemetery immediately following the service. Family and friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle funeral home from 6-8pm on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 and from 9-10:30am on Thursday, August 16, 2018 before the service.
