Fort Kent – Olida Plourde, 84, passed away at a Fort Kent healthcare facility on January 5, 2021.  She was born on January 28, 1936 in Baker Lake, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of the late Alcime and Irene (Soucy) Nadeau.  Olida was a devoted mother, homemaker and talented seamstress.  Her favorite pastimes included playing "Dame de Pique" and listening and dancing to country music. She is survived by her four children Clarence Plourde, Doris Hallee (Renald), Sandra Brigham and Betty Plourde; eight grandchildren: Jennifer, Laura, Michelle, Melissa, Joshua, John, Alyssa and Jared; four great grandchildren: Evelyn, Oliver, Elsa and Ivan; five siblings: Ronald Nadeau, Fidele Nadeau, Clarence Nadeau, Regina Lang, Sr. Adele Nadeau; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Olida is predeceased by two sons Harold Plourde and Steven Plourde; one great-grandchild, Owen Schroeder; and 16 siblings. Burial services will be celebrated privately by Olida's family in the spring of 2021.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
