Van Buren/Connecticut/Florida---Omerine E. Pettit, 85, passed away on February 14, 2025, at a Caribou health care facility.  She was born in Van Buren on February 15, 1939, daughter of the late George and Isabelle (Madore) Thibodeau.  She is survived by one son, Chuck Pettit of Caribou; one sister, Ina Rhinehart of North Carolina; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her partner, Lawrence Robichaud; six siblings, Fern, Percy, Fernande, Theresa, Estelle, and Shirley.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Church in Van Buren.  In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visiting hours.  Interment will be held in the spring at the Parish cemetery.
