Obituary

Madawaska---Paquerette Madore, 82, passed away on August 15, 2018 at a Bangor health care facility.  She was born in Notre Dame Du Lac, Quebec on May 29, 1936, daughter of the late Alfred and Rosa Michaud.  Paquerette was devoted to helping the seniors in her community, often bringing her toy poodle to the area nursing homes and enjoying the smiles come across their faces.  She worked for many years as a nurse's aid in various health care facilities such as the Wisdom House, Highview Manor, and the Edmundston Hospital.  She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Madawaska.  She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, James Madore of Madawaska; one sister, Sister Elodie Michaud; one brother, Denis Michaud both of Quebec; many nieces and nephews.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska.  Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church from 9am until 9:45am on Wednesday before the service.  Interment will be held immediately following the service in the Parish cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
