Grand Isle---Patricia Carrier, 69, passed away on May 6, 2015 at a Caribou health care facility. She was born in Grand Isle on January 4, 1946, daughter of the late Christophe and Winnie (Deschene) Cyr. Pat made taking care of her children her life, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In her younger years, Pat loved dancing with her husband, Leo James. She had a very charismatic personality who had a passion for life. She always had a heartwarming smile on her face. She will be forever missed by those that knew her. She is survived by three children, Ryan Carrier and his wife Treena of Millinocket, Dale Carrier and his wife Amber of Grey, and Tricia Carrier and her fiancé Kevin Michaud of Grand Isle; five grandchildren, Tanner, Dimitri, Dominic, Jocelyn, and Miles; three brothers, Christopher Cyr and his wife Rita of Connecticut, Alphy Cyr and his wife Vi of Florida, Edward Deschene of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Leo James Carrier; four siblings, Maurice Cyr, Marie Mae Beaudry, Priscille Deschaines, Freeman Cyr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Sunday and from 9:30am until 10:30am on Monday before the service. Burial in the parish cemetery will take place at a later date.
