MADAWASKA- Patricia Daigle, 83, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2018, at Westgate Manor in Bangor, Maine. She was born February 1, 1935, in Madawaska, daughter of the late Conde and Almida (Ringuette) Parent. She was a doting and devoted mother who cared deeply for her husband and children. She always put them before herself. In addition to being a stay-at-home mom, Pat was an after-school caregiver for many neighborhood children. She spent many years volunteering her time for the church. She worked in the Thrift Store and cooked and served food with the Daughters of Isabella at funerals. She is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, John Daigle of Madawaska. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Lavoie and husband, Gary, of Carmel, and Louise Everett and her partner Pete Martin of Old Town; two sons, John Daigle and wife, Darlene, of Concord, N.H., and Philip Daigle and his partner Robin Quint of Houlton; eight grandchildren, Nathan, Emily, Lauryn, Kristyn, Danielle, Joshua, Damian and Naomi; one sister, Velma Daigle of Madawaska, and a brother Robert Parent and his wife Joanne of Southington, CT; half-brother Dan Parent and his wife Lucille of Edmundston N.B. and a half-sister Denise Soto and her husband Victor of Gorham and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, September 13, at St. Thomas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences from 9-9:45 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Interment will take place immediately after the Mass at the Parish Cemetery. A light luncheon will take place at the St. David Church after the interment. Contributions in Pat's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org . A special thank you to St. Joe's Hospice and the staff at Westgate Manor for their care.
