Fort Kent---Patricia "Pat" C. Landry died peacefully on January 22, 2025 at the age of 97 with family at her side, at Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent, Maine. Pat was born on June 3, 1927, in Edmundston, NB, Canada, to Hubalde and Marie Anne (Roussel) Couturier. She married Edgar Landry on June 15, 1948, in Edmundston and lived there until 1957 when they moved their family to Fort Kent, Maine. Pat lost her beloved husband in 1982 and went to work at Princess Kent as a seamstress to support herself until her retirement. Pat enjoyed spending time at the family camp on Jerry Lake, PQ, quilting, crocheting, knitting, making puzzles, dancing and spending time with family.
Pat is survived by four children, Jean-Guy and his wife, Claire, of Fort Kent; Ginette and her husband, George Labonte, of Fort Kent; Francine and her husband, James Belanger, of Terryville, Connecticut; and Andre and his wife, Norma, of Fort Kent. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren, Lenny (Marla), Justin, Barbara, Judy, Rodney (Lynne) Labonte, Christopher (Erin) Labonte, Angela Hebert, Matthew (Leslie) Labonte, Marie (Otto) Beck, Rachel (Christopher) Longo, Kelsey Landry and Samantha (Nick) Oakes, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Claudette (Ronald) Daigle of Edmundston.
Pat was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, Edgar, her siblings, Florence, Ludger "Wash", Jeannine, Romeo, and Donald, her daughter-in-law, Nadine (Jean-Guy) Landry, and her fiancé, Elmer Ouellette. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Louis Church in Fort Kent, Maine on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main Street, Fort Kent, ME 04743. In keeping with Pat's wishes, there will be no visiting hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
