St. John--- Patricia Mullins, 70, known to us as Mother and Mum, passed away unexpectedly on June 1, 2022 in the house in which she was born in. She was born on September 30, 1951, daughter of Patrick and Beulah (Hafford) Mullins.

She loved her creator and her family. She taught us to believe in miracles and have faith.

Beneath her sometimes seemingly gruff exterior lay a truly free spirited, beautiful, tender, and loving heart.

Although, make no mistake, she was a force to be reckoned with should anyone cross any lines in her book. Especially when it came to her family.

She met many difficulties in life, with her own special combination of truth and dry humor ... delivered with a sassy sarcastic witt.

Outspoken and determined, she always demanded to live her life in her own way.

She enjoyed spending time together and long conversations on various topics with family and strangers alike, reminiscing, laughter, and very much, the occasional friendly banter.

She was artistic, a lover of nature and all creatures great and small. An impromptu family day trip adventurer: many times, opening our young eyes to beauty and wonder in the most ordinary of places.

We were blessed to have been able to spend most of our childhood and youth, always close to her. We made it through many things, together.

The strongest person I knew. She always told us not to be like her, but to be better than her... In the things that mattered most, she was the best. Whenever she was needed, she was always there. She loved us abundantly, free from conditions of superficial expectations and without judgment.

From the very beginning you were always real with us.

Without us having much... throughout and despite everything growing up, you always managed to make magic for us, and you always believed in and encouraged our interests and dreams. Thank you.

I wish more of your dreams had come true in your time here. I'm sorry.

We have lost you in body, but we still feel your love, energy and presence in spirit.

We miss the mischievous sparkle that danced in your eyes, the way your face lit up when you smiled and the sound of your laughter.

We miss you, love you always.

To follow Patricia's wishes, there will be no funeral service or burial. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
