Portage Lake--- Patricia M. Plourde, 69, peacefully entered into rest December 27, 2021, following a short illness. She was born November 18, 1952, in Van Buren, a daughter of the late Denis and Jeanette (Levesque) Berube.

Patricia was a dedicated housekeeper serving many area homes throughout the years. She was well known by many seasonal residents as she would clean and prep many camps and cottages for well over 20 years. Patricia also worked several years in the kitchen of Portage's Dean's Motor Lodge and Coffin's General Store.

A parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Church, Patricia was also a member and former secretary of the Ladies Sodality. She was a dedicated decorator of the church and created many of the tablecloths and arrangements that adorned the church. Patricia always had her creative hands busy and was skilled at sewing, knitting, painting, and building furniture. She had an amazing green thumb, loved planting flowers of all kinds, and was an avid gardener. When she enjoyed the outdoors, she loved to waterski, snowmobile, skating, camping and cross-country ski, and truly enjoyed the company of her beloved husband, children, and grandchildren when they could join her in her hobbies.

She is survived by: her beloved husband, Herve Plourde of Portage Lake; two children, Daniel Plourde and Sonia Plourde and her fiancé Fred Jacobs, all of Portage; twelve siblings, Homerine Burgess, Velma Beaupre, Jackie Walker, Claudette Bourgoin, Danny Berube, Gilman Berube, Adeline Beaulieu, Linda Evans, Rachel Cormier, Rita Berube, Denis Berube Jr., and Caroline Berube, two grandsons, Chance Mills and Jonah Plourde; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Patricia was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Plourde, in 1994.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Aroostook Road, Portage Lake. Relatives and friends may greet the family Monday morning 9:30 – 10:45 AM at the church. Spring interment will be in St. Mark Cemetery, Ashland.
