St. Francis --- Patricia "Patsy" (Ouellette) Taggett, 88, passed away on December 23, 2018 at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born on July 19, 1930, daughter of the late Willie and Neacy (Dube) Ouellette. Patsy was a school teacher in St. Francis for 40 years, retiring in 1991. After her retirement she continued to substitute for many years after. Along with being a passionate educator she enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, and especially making quilts. She was an active communicant of the St. Charles church where she volunteered countless hours on various fund-raising projects. She was a member of the M.T.A, N.E.A, and the A.R.E.A. Patsy is survived by her four children, Roland Taggett and his wife Judy of St. Francis, Patrice Soucy and her husband Cur of Wallagrass, Pam Lozier and her husband Bob of Fort Kent, and Bev Pelletier and her husband Dave of Fort Kent; 11 grandchildren, Jeff and Greg Taggett, Missy Morneault, Becka Daigle, and Bud Soucy, Jon Lozier, Michelle Jandreau, and Neile Martin.  Julia Gardner, Darrin Pelletier, and Andrea Vailancourt; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother Aldeo Ouellette of Wallingford, Connecticut; along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ronald Taggett; one sister Mildred Bard, and three brothers, Leonard, Armand, and Fern Ouellette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the St. Charles Church in St. Francis. Family and friends may call at the Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home from 6-8pm on December 26, 2018 and from 9-10:15am the morning of the service. Spring interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
