Fort Kent---Patrick Caron, 89, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2017 at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born in Escort, Maine on April 7, 1928, son of the late Tommy and Yvonne (Caron) Caron. He was raised in St. Jean-de-La-Lande, Canada. He worked for Daigle Starch Factory for twenty-two years and then after working for eighteen years at Great Northern, he retired at the age of sixty-two. He was a dedicated, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In his younger years, he really enjoyed fishing. Later he loved watching television and listening to music. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Viola (Caron) Caron of Fort Kent; two children, Patricia Cyr and her husband Phil of Fort Kent, William Caron and his wife Deborah of Fort Kent; three grandchildren, Scott Cyr, Michelle Daigle, and Candy Daigle all of Fort Kent; ten great grandchildren; three brothers, Ronald, Rejean, and Benoit; four sisters, Gaetane, Levine, Aline, and Rachel; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the St. Louis Catholic Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Wednesday and from 9-9:45am on Thursday before the Mass. Spring interment will be held in the Parish cemetery.
