Winterville—Patrick Dube, 83, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2021 at his home. He was born on July 21, 1937, son of the late Rene and Vina (Ouellette) Dube. Patrick was a loving devoted husband and father for his family. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye, and they did no wrong. He was an avid fisherman and loved to garden. He would frequently drop off the goods from his garden to his family members, just to see their smile. Patrick was the post commander of the American Legion (post #176) for 2 years. He always had an open-door policy for anyone that needed to talk. He was in the Army for 20 years as a captain and served in Vietnam for one year. Patrick worked at the St. Mary's church for years as a eucharistic minister. Patrick is survived by his loving wife Mary Jane (Saucier) Dube, whom he was married to for 53 years; two children, Michele Robinson and her husband Tony of Ohio, Patrick Dube Jr. and his wife Stacy of Eagle Lake; four grandchildren, Joshua and Nicholas Robinson, Andrew and Jared Dube; three sisters, Emily Saucier of Presque Isle, Bernadette Gamblin of Mapleton, and  Mary Anne Raymond of Presque Isle; four brothers, Tony Dube of Eagle Lake, Jude Dube of Connecticut, Roland Dube of New York, and Al Dube of Connecticut. Patrick is predeceased by his parents Rene and Vina (Ouellette) Dube; one sister, Gloria Chafin; four brothers, Lucien Dube, Rene Dube Jr., James Dube, and Jean Louis Dube. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10am Friday, May 28, 2021 at the St. Mary's church in Eagle Lake. Family and friends may call at the St. Mary's church at 9:00am May 28, 2021.
