Frenchville – Pauline (Levesque) Desjardins, 80, passed away on June 5, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on May 26, 1941 in Madawaska, the daughter of the late Hercules and Jeannette (Dubay) Levesque. Pauline is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gilman (Pitou) Desjardins, of Frenchville; 5 children, Paula and husband, Mitchell Dumond, of St. Agatha; Michael and wife, Monica, of Derry, NH; Wayne, of Frenchville; Lisa and fiancé, Bruce Chasse, of Pace, FL; and Linda and husband, Jared Krok, of Southampton, MA; 5 grandchildren, Robyn and husband Ricky Nadeau, Alyssa Dumond, Levi Desjardins, Faith and Kara Bennett; 1 great granddaughter, Vada Desjardins. Pauline was the oldest of ten children and leaves behind her siblings, Robert and wife Sandy Levesque, Phil and wife Karen Levesque, Rita and husband Marcel Cyr, Louis and wife Beverly Levesque, Louise and husband Edgar Beaumont, Cecile Boucher, Patrick Levesque, Patricia and husband Dave Dubois, Richard and wife Janice Levesque; many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Pauline was an active member of the Daughters of Isabella (51 years), Dame de Ste. Anne and the Frenchville Historical Society. She spent many days volunteering at Ridgewood Estates. She enjoyed bowling, arts and crafts, reading, and playing various games with family and friends. Pauline enjoyed traveling and often shared memories of vacationing and looked forward to her annual sister's trip. Pauline, a gentle soul touched the lives of each person she met. She always had kind words to say to each individual. She made everyone feel comfortable and at ease. She was a wonderful wife, who always put family first; an amazing mother, who never missed sporting and academic events; a proud grandmother, who had a special bond with each grandchild; and a friend to all. She'll be greatly missed, but the memories will always be treasured. The family would like to thank the caregivers who provided support to Pauline and the family over the past six months, we are truly grateful. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church, in Madawaska. Family and friends may offer their condolences prior to mass beginning at 9am at the church. Burial will follow at Saint Luce Cemetery in Frenchville.
