St. Francis, ME - Pauline (Ouellette) Nadeau, 84, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, after a long illness. She was born December 13, 1941 to the late Adolphe, Sr. and Flossie (Sturgeon) Ouellette. She will forever be remembered for her exceptional bookkeeping skills with which she and her husband built a successful trucking company, Nadeau Trucking.
Pauline is survived by her son Mike Nadeau and his wife Leisa of St. John Plantation; her grandchildren, Katherine Kenneson (Adam) of Fort Kent, Charles Nadeau (Kayla) of St. John Plantation, Emmaline Nadeau (Garrett) of St. Francis, and William Nadeau of St. John Plantation and her five great-grandchildren, Rosalie, Simon, and Elliot Kenneson and Gracie and James Nadeau. Pauline is also survived by her sisters, Bertha Hotchkiss of Tucson, Arizona, Verna O’Leary of Caribou, Leola Onerato of Kenduskeag and her brothers, Adolphe Ouellette, Jr. (Junior) and wife Sue of Colbert, Washington, Franklin Ouellette, Sr. and wife Sharon of Bangor, Thomas Pelletier and wife Rhona of St. Francis, and Gordon Pelletier and wife Sally of Frenchville as well as many special nieces and nephews. Pauline is predeceased by her husband, Vernal and her son Robby whom she missed tremendously; her sisters, Shirley Simon, Doris Thibodeau, Thelma Kelly, Mable Albert and Sadie Plourde; and her brothers, Patrick Ouellette and Richard Ouellette.
Pauline was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will forever be remembered for her generous nature and her love for her precious pets, Mitzi and Dolly, and for her wonderful cooking skills with which she lovingly fed many family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June19th at 9:30 at the St. John Catholic Cemetery in St. John Plantation. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be sent to Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle or any animal shelter of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
